Rudolph 是聖誕老人第九隻麋鹿，第一至八隻的名字分別先於歌詞的首兩句：

Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
因為他有一個紅鼻子，和其他麋鹿不同而遭到其他同伴嘲笑和排擠。但有一年的聖誕夜，因為大霧而令聖誕老人看不到路，影響了聖誕老人派送禮物。聖誕老人發現 Rudolph 發光的鼻子可以幫忙引路，於是要求 Rudolph 拉雪橇，令任務得以完成，其他麋鹿因而喜歡上 Rudolph 了。

讀後感
我最喜歡的一首聖誕節歌曲，因為曲風輕快、歌詞簡單、片篇短小、容易上口；不論小朋友還是大朋友，聽個一二次就會了。
另外因為這是難得的一篇小品故事，順便教導小朋友不要歧視，每位小朋友不論長什麼樣子都是上天贈與的禮物，天生我才必有用、人只要站對舞台，証明自己有用的話是會受到別人的愛戴…… 緒如此類的心靈雞湯。
聖誕節，不防從這首簡易的歌曲開始，和小朋友一起享受下這個歡樂的節日。
